Chilling moment mum calls police to report her daughter has been raped by her dad

 

A police documentary series has revealed the chilling moment a mother called the police to say her daughter was raped by her own dad.

 

In an episode of 999: What's Your Emergency which aired on January 18, a weeping woman is heard telling an emergency call handler: "My daughter, she's come home upset saying that her dad got her drunk last night and put her in bed with him and they had sex or he's touched her."

 

 

The dad was later arrested under Section Two of the Sexual Offences Act, YorkshireLive reports.

 

A detective sergeant, who interviewed the suspect, said: "When I first looked at the case it was clearly an extremely serious allegation and the absolute horror of what has actually happened and what that victim has gone through."

 

In the interview room, the dad said his daughter had arrived at his home and said she "fancied a drink" and they began to play a drinking game with a "large bottle" of alcohol.

 

Later, when he was drunk he said he went to lie in his bed and then admitted touching his daughter between her legs.

 

He told police: "My daughter asked me to go and sleep downstairs but I said it's my bed if she wants to go and sleep, go and sleep in her own bed.

 

"She turned the lights off and I know she got into bed and I think it's just because we had been drinking we couldn't be bothered to move.

 

"I remember touching my daughter. I just touched her between her legs, that's all I remember I swear. I woke up in the morning my daughter was gone.

 

"Shouldn't have done something - she's my daughter."

 

The detective sergeant said: "He was upset, he was quiet, emotional.

 

"However, I got the impression he was watering down his involvement and there was more to it than that."

 

The dad said he remembered nothing else and got tearful, which raised alarm bells with the detective sergeant, who questioned why he was able to recall details of the drinking but nothing after raping his daughter.

 

He said: "From my point of view, this is a very clear section one, rape. He has had sexual activity with that girl without consent.

 

"It's the breach of trust which is the most shocking part of this offence."

 

Towards the end of the interview, the dad was asked if he had sexual feelings towards his daughter or people under the age of 16, and he said no.

 

He was later shown curled up under a blanket in a police cell.

 

 

The father later pleaded guilty to raping his daughter and received a "lengthy jail term".
